Simon Cowell recently shared some adorable new photos of his 9-year-old son Eric cuddling the family’s new puppy, Pebbles. The snaps show how much Eric takes after his famous dad in both looks and love of dogs.
The America’s Got Talent judge introduced Pebbles on social media on January 11th, sharing a sweet pic of the German Shepherd pup licking his face. “Our family has had a new arrival…her name is Pebbles,” Cowell captioned the post.
Just two days later, Cowell posted more cute pics of Pebbles, this time with Eric. The photos show Eric lying on the floor holding Pebbles’ chin and then hugging the pup as they sit together on the couch.
“LOVE,” Cowell simply captioned the heartwarming post.
The snaps demonstrate how both Cowell and his mini-me son Eric share a love for dogs. Cowell has said his pups are “hugely important members” of his family.
When dog act Hurricane won AGT last season, Cowell revealed Eric was obsessed and immediately bonded with the winning border collie.
“He’s just obsessed with this dog. And even during the Auditions, he met her and Adrian, and he’s a great guy, and she is just adorable. And I was watching [Eric] as the results came in, and he was just like, jumping in the air. He was so excited,” Cowell said.
Fans Gush Over How Much Eric Resembles Simon in Rare Photos
While Eric usually stays out of the spotlight, Cowell gave fans a rare glimpse into his family life with the new puppy pics. Fans immediately noticed how much mini-Cowell has grown up and how strong the resemblance is between father and son.
“He has gotten so big!” one fan commented on the photos.
“Stunning wee pup and Eric so grown up and handsome,” another wrote, as many called Eric Simon’s “spitting image.”
Others couldn’t believe Eric is already approaching ten years old, with his next birthday coming up on February 14.
“Eric is so big now awww. Beautiful,” one fan wrote.
The sweet snaps provided a heartwarming look into Simon’s life as a dad. He’s made an effort in recent years to be more present with his family, not working on Fridays or taking calls and emails after 5:30 pm.
